Description
Giffard Non-Alcoholic Spritz is a bold aperitif-style expression designed for modern non-alcoholic drinking. Inspired by classic spritz liqueurs, this zero-proof offering delivers the signature balance of citrus brightness, gentle sweetness, and lingering bitterness that defines the category.
Crafted through grapefruit zest maceration and enhanced with gentian extract, Spritz offers an aromatic depth rarely found in non-alcoholic aperitifs. The use of wine vinegar in the maceration process allows the citrus oils to fully express themselves while adding natural acidity and structure.
The flavor profile opens with vibrant grapefruit, followed by a refreshing interplay of sweet and tart citrus. As the palate develops, gentian introduces a clean, sophisticated bitterness that lingers on the finish, making this an ideal alternative for Negroni-style or aperitif cocktails.
Designed to be mixed like a liqueur, Giffard Non Alcoholic Spritz performs beautifully with sparkling wine alternatives, soda water, or tonic. It can also be paired with non-alcoholic vermouths or fermented mixers for complex, layered zero-proof aperitifs.
Unlike overly sweet mocktail bases, Spritz is intentionally structured for adult palates. Its balanced sugar and acidity allow bartenders to increase volume without overwhelming a drink, creating cocktails that feel intentional refined and complete.
Whether served as a simple spritz or as part of a more intricate build, Giffard Non Alcoholic Spritz invites drinkers to enjoy the ritual of aperitivo without alcohol and without compromise.

History
It all began in 1885. Emile Giffard was a pharmacist with an inventive, curious nature and the palate of a gourmand. In the scorching summer, in the small Loire Valley town of Angers, France, he was studying the digestive and cooling properties of mint. Giffard’s research resulted in the invention of a clear mint liqueur, steam-distilled from the Mitcham variety of peppermint. As delicious as it was refreshing, the liqueur was immediately received with enthusiasm from the townspeople of Angers. Emile called his elixir Menthe Pastille after the mint candies that were famout at the time.
Giffard parlayed the success of Menthe Pastille into a company and began creating liqueurs and syrups from the rich bounty of local fruits and botanicals as well as the exotic spices and herbs that were brought in by ship on the Loire River from ports around the world. Five generations later, Giffard is still owned and operated by the same family who maintain tradition and quality for all of its products.
